Willow Smith Beats Out Keyshia Cole, Marcus Cooper to Lead Top 10 Most Popular R&B Singles of the Week

The ten year old girl that introduced herself with "Whip My Hair," is only a few years older, but the maturity of her latest record "5" makes it hard to believe she stills needs a parent to see an R-rated film. The dark galactic production is woven around a stream of metaphors like "I saw the ocean then I saw you/That's why I climb so high to see you/can you see the words rolling off my tongue you have the touch because you're the one." That is not a line you expect from her, so the entire song is a shocker as you're guided through the youngster's thoughts. The good thing is people will start to look pass her surname for her true artistic perspective as she rolls out new singles. With her brother Jaden Smith co-starring on the track, Willow lands the top position on Singersroom's Top 10 Most Popular R&B Singles of the Week. Just about every two years Keyshia Cole offers a download of a new album. Her last album, 'Woman to Woman,' dropped in 2012, so she is due for another full record this year. She threw the internet a "Loyal" teaser record that attacks fickle fellas without throwing a punch. The track unleashes the rougher side of Keyshia that many fans initially gravitated towards in the beginning of her career. This year we expect to see a lot of Keyshia as she entered our chart in the second slot. Marcus Cooper is certain that he will be releasing new songs this year; he has confirmed the release of 'Break Up to Make Up' in February. With slightly less than a month of the project, he dropped "Feels Right," a Caribbean musical-styled two-stepper assisted by dancehall artist Konshens. Cooper's departure from traditional bedroom romance helps him capture the bronze position on the Most Popular R&B Singles of the Week. The remaining artists that converged on this hot records chart is a mixed list of veterans, emerging stars and newcomers that include Glenn Lewis, Danity Kane, Bando Jonez, Adrian Marcel, August Alsina, T-Pain and Dawn Richard.
