Not much is known about Shakira’s forthcoming album, but we do know that the lead single, “Can’t Remember to Forget You,” features Rihanna and now that it will arrive on March 25, 2014.
The Columbian songstress confirmed the release directly by tweeting, “Get #CantRememberToForgetYou ft @Rihanna - from Shak's new album, coming March 25!"
The project marks Shakira’s first English album since 2009’s She Wolf.
As far the lead single “Can’t Remember to Forget You,” time will tell if it will garner a measureable success like her previous urban collaborations “Hips Don’t Lie,” featuring Wyclef, and “Beautiful Liar,” a duet with Beyoncé.
After all, Shakira had nothing but nice things to say about Rihanna.
"She's the sexiest woman on the planet. And at the end of the day, we're both just basically Caribbean girls. The chemistry was so good and so real. She taught me dance moves. She was a sweet teacher," she told Glamour magazine.
Shakira will also return to the upcoming season of NBC’s The Voice.
